Government-funded · England · £0 to your business

You've bought the licences. The training never came.

Most teams get the AI subscriptions and no training to go with them. This is a bespoke, government-funded programme that closes that gap — real AI training for your whole team, at no cost to the business.

The gap this closes

The pattern I keep seeing: a business buys ChatGPT and Claude licences for its staff, then trains nobody. The subscriptions get used like a faster Google. The highest-value work — deal screening, long documents, board and investor comms, analysis — is still done the slow way, in spare minutes, by people working it out alone.

There's often a governance risk you can already see: sensitive or price-sensitive material going into a tool nobody's been shown to use safely. In a regulated or listed business, that matters.

And doing it properly costs money. A proper programme across a whole team has a real price tag, and that's exactly where most conversations stall. The subscription was never the investment. The training is — and now the government pays for it.

What your team gets

The full programme, with room to go deeper

Bespoke training built around your actual work, plus the depth a one-off never reaches: process mapping, custom tools built for real tasks, a working AI policy, and a deployment roadmap. Open to the whole office, not just the licence holders.

Delivered by me

Eight weeks, one session a week, run online so it's minimal disruption, with in-person sessions if and when you want the team in a room. The same trainer, start to finish — not a rotating cast of associates.

A real output, not just prompts

Your people finish with a working AI policy and a deployment roadmap you can actually act on — the foundations for how the business uses AI, written down, not a folder of prompts that fades in a fortnight.

How it runs

Step 1

Confirm eligibility and sign off the plan

A 15-minute call to confirm eligibility and pick a start date. You sign off a government-recognised 90-hour training plan — the tutor-led sessions plus the applied work your people do on their own tasks between them.

Step 2

The programme (8 sessions over 8 weeks)

Delivered as a cohort, one day a week, up to three hours of tutor-led time per session, plus the applied work your team does on their own tasks in between. Fully online by default; one or more sessions in person if you want the team together. Built around your real work — investment analysis, long documents, board and investor comms, and governance.

Step 3

Completion, then the claim

The funding is claimed once everyone on the course has completed all the sessions. Because the claim depends on completion, we plan the cohort around your calendar and keep the group on track to the end. Nothing to pay either way. If afterwards you'd like ongoing 1-2-1 coaching for your power users, that's available as a separate, optional paid add-on.

The commitment is real, and it's the reason it works: a cohort that finishes together actually changes how the team uses AI, rather than a one-off that fades in a fortnight.

How the funding works

I deliver the training through Exponential Partners. Your people are set up on the government portal, work through the programme, and the funding — £2,250 per eligible employee — is claimed once everyone completes.

The administration, audit and compliance are handled for you. You release your people; there's nothing to pay either way, whatever the outcome.

Who this is for

  • Businesses that bought AI licences for their staff and never put any training behind them.
  • Regulated or listed businesses with a governance gap — sensitive material going into tools nobody's been shown to use safely.
  • Operations and team leaders whose people do high-value document, analysis, and comms work the slow way.
  • Companies that stalled on doing AI training properly because a full programme carried a real price tag.

No minimum headcount, though it works best as a cohort of 10 or more. Larger offices can run more than one cohort to stagger who's out of the business each week.

Frequently asked questions

Does it really cost our business nothing?

Correct. The funding covers £2,250 per eligible employee and is claimed once the cohort completes the programme. There is nothing to pay either way. It is subject to eligibility, which we confirm on a short call before anything starts.

Who is eligible?

PAYE employees aged 19 or over who live in England — the funding comes from the English adult skills budget, so it does not cover Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. Most office teams qualify. We confirm eligibility on a 15-minute call before we book a start date, so you know where you stand before committing anyone.

How much time does it take?

Eight sessions over eight weeks, one day a week, up to three hours of tutor-led time per session, plus applied work your team does on their own tasks between sessions. Online by default, so it is minimal time away from the desk.

Online or in person?

Online by default for minimal disruption. If you would like the team in a room for one or more sessions, we can run those in person. Your call, not a fixed format.

What is the minimum team size?

There is no hard minimum, but it works best as a cohort of 10 or more. You can also run more than one cohort if you would rather stagger who is out of the business each week.

Who delivers it, and how is it funded?

It is delivered by Riz Pabani through Exponential Partners. The programme is government-funded, and the administration, audit and compliance are handled for you. You release your people; the rest is taken care of.

What do we walk away with?

A working AI policy and a deployment roadmap you can actually act on, plus custom tools built for your real tasks and a team that uses AI on the work that matters, not a folder of prompts that fades in a fortnight.

Is there a catch with completion?

The claim depends on everyone completing the sessions, so we plan the cohort around your team calendar and keep the group on track to the end. That commitment is the reason it works: a cohort that finishes together actually changes how the team uses AI.
