Where most small teams are right now
The invoicing lives in one tool, the customer list in another, and the spreadsheet in the middle is the only thing that knows how they fit together. Off-the-shelf software covers most of what you do, and your team works around the rest by hand.
Or someone on the team has already built a fix with an AI tool. It works on their laptop, and nobody is sure it is safe to put customers or payroll through it.
That is the gap this closes. I build the app your process needs, sized for a team of a few people, and the monthly plan keeps it running.
What I build
Invoicing
Raise, send and chase invoices from the data you already hold, instead of retyping it into a template.
Payroll
Hours, rates and deductions in one place, with the run checked before anyone gets paid.
Scheduling
Rotas, bookings or job allocation built around your rules, not a generic calendar.
CRM
Your customers, deals and follow-ups, with only the fields and stages your team uses.
Task manager
Work tracked the way your team hands it over, so nothing lives in someone's inbox.
Your vibe-coded app
The prototype you built with an AI tool, made secure and reliable enough to run the business on.
Already vibe-coded something?
Tools like Lovable, Bolt and Cursor get you a working prototype fast. Getting from "works on my laptop" to "the business runs on it" is a different job. That is the part I take on:
- Proper logins, so each person sees only what they should
- Your data stored safely, with backups
- Errors caught and fixed before your customers find them
- Tested before every change goes live, so a fix doesn't break something else
- Moved onto proper hosting, not someone's personal account
- Monitoring, so I know something has gone wrong before you do
How a build works
A free scoping call
Fifteen minutes on the process you want to replace: what it is today, who touches it, and what goes wrong. If a custom build is not the right answer, I will say so on the call.
Discovery phase£1,999
We map the process end to end and agree exactly what gets built before any build starts. You come out of it with a written scope: the screens, the steps and the rules, plus a fixed monthly price and a build timeline. Discovery takes two to three weeks from the first call, with two to four hours of calls in total.
The build
A first working version within four weeks of discovery, then a demo every week until it's live. You see real screens early, not a status report.
The monthly planfrom £500 / month
The app goes live and the monthly plan keeps it running and improving: hosting, backups, security updates and fixes, plus small changes as your process shifts.
Recent work
Immigration practice, Montréal
An immigration practice ran citizenship-by-descent applications by hand: a colour-coded Excel tracker, documents saved from email, and a 14-page government form filled in from scattered paperwork. We built an app that takes each case through eight stages, works out the document checklist across five scenarios and fills in 400+ form fields automatically. Hours of form entry now take seconds.
An Exponential Partners build, led by my colleague Sacha. Exponential Partners is the consultancy I also deliver through.
I also build and run my own products: eatmedia.ai, the TogetherAgain app on the App Store, and learnautocomplete.com.
What it costs
Two to four hours of calls, a review of your current materials, and a written scope with a fixed monthly price. The scope is yours to keep, whether or not you build with me.
Hosting, backups, security updates, fixes and small changes as your process shifts. No charge per user or per transaction within fair use. The price goes up with more users, links to other systems (accounting, payroll, bank files), higher volumes, or sensitive personal data.
Six-month minimum term, then month to month with 30 days' notice. Your data is always yours, and you can take a full export at any time.
There is no separate build fee. Discovery comes first so you know exactly what gets built, and what it costs each month, before the build starts.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a build take?
Discovery takes two to three weeks. You see a first working version within four weeks of the end of discovery, then a demo every week until it goes live.
Who owns the code?
Your data is always yours, and you can take a full export at any time. The app runs on my platform while you are on the plan. That is what keeps the monthly price low: the foundations are shared, and your app is built on top of them.
What does the monthly fee cover?
The build itself: there is no separate build fee. Then hosting, backups, security updates and fixes, plus small changes as your process shifts. There is no charge per user or per transaction within fair use. Adding a new process (say, scheduling on top of invoicing) starts with a short discovery, and we agree the price before anything new is built. The monthly fee may rise modestly over time.
Can I cancel the monthly plan?
Yes. The plan has a six-month minimum term. After that it runs month to month, and you can cancel with 30 days' notice. You get a full export of your data. The app itself stops when the plan does.
What do I get from the discovery phase?
A written scope you keep, whether or not you build with me: the screens, the steps and the rules, plus a fixed monthly price and a build timeline. It takes two to three weeks, with two to four hours of calls in total.
I have already built something with an AI tool. Can you take it over?
Yes, whether it came from Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Cursor or something similar. I review the code first. If the foundations are sound, I keep it and harden it. If they are not, I rebuild it and use your prototype as the spec, which is the best spec a client can give me.
Do I need to be technical?
No. You need to know how your process works today. Discovery turns that into the plan, and I handle the technical side.
Why not just buy off-the-shelf software?
If an off-the-shelf tool fits how you work, buy it. It will be cheaper. A custom build makes sense when your process does not fit the tool, when you are paying for several tools stitched together with spreadsheets, or when the way you work is part of what makes the business good. The scoping call is where we find out which one you are.
Still deciding?
Tell me the process you want to replace. In 15 minutes you'll know whether a custom build is the right answer.
